Overview

Raoul Heinen joined Linklaters Luxembourg in 2012 and advises global financial institutions on a variety of regulatory matters, notably licencing requirements, major financial services regulations (e.g. MiFID, AIFMD, PSD, AML), and Luxembourg regulatory aspects of acquisitions and group restructurings. He also specialises in the structuring and setting up of UCITS, as well as regulated and unregulated AIFs. Raoul is also part of several working groups of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI), including on MiFID 2 and FinTech.

Education and qualifications

Raoul holds an LLM in Commercial and Corporate Law from Queen Mary University of London. He further holds a Master’s degree from Paul Cézanne University (Aix-en-Provence) in Comparative Business Law.

Raoul is admitted to the Luxembourg Bar. He is fluent in English, German, French and Luxembourgish.
