Adrian is a corporate and commercial lawyer with particular expertise in technology transactions. Adrian has advised clients across the Asia-Pacific region on commercial and regulatory issues relating to technology and telecoms, including on procurement, licensing and privacy issues, and on corporate transactions involving technology companies.
Recent tech experience includes acting for DBS on the establishment of its legal infrastructure for its Innovation Group, an international insurer on a first of kind data analytics project involving a key bancassurance partner in Asia, and an international bank on regulatory issues arising from their deployment of cloud services.
Adrian is an active participant in industry discussion on fintech and was invited to sit on the working group tasked with establishing the Singapore Fintech Association, a non-profit industry association for financial technology in Singapore.
Adrian also has extensive experience advising on the developing data privacy legal regime in Asia-Pacific and has advised a range of clients on the impact of these new data privacy laws on their businesses.
He is a recognised speaker in the market place and a regular contributor to government consultations (e.g. on the MAS’s regulatory sandbox consultation) and industry steering groups (e.g., the Singapore Fintech Association and the fintech working group of ASIFMA).
Adrian has worked in private practice in Singapore, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Sydney and previously worked with the World Intellectual Property Organisation in Geneva.
